Jeep India has introduced the 2023 Compass in a 4X2 variant, making it more affordable for car enthusiasts in the Indian market. The starting price for the 2023 Jeep Compass now begins at Rs 20.49 lakh, and the automatic range is priced from Rs 23.99 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom). The entry-level Compass price has been reduced by almost Rs 1 lakh, while the automatic transmission model is now 20% more affordable, saving customers nearly 6 lakhs.
Bookings for the 2023 Jeep Compass 2WD are now open on the official website and authorized dealerships across the country. Alongside the launch of the 4X2 variant, Jeep India has also unveiled the new Jeep Meridian Overland Edition SUV, which comes with updated features such as alloy wheels, an updated grille pattern, body-colored bumpers, and new upholstery. Pricing details for the Meridian Overland Edition will be announced at a later date.
The exterior of the 2023 Jeep Compass 4X2 features a glossy-black grille, glossy-black 18-inch alloy wheels, LED reflector headlamps, LED tail-lamps, LED fog lamps, and LED projector headlamps on the Model S. The Black Shark Edition stands out with body-colored roof and lower cladding, 18-inch aluminum black-gloss painted wheels, black leatherette seats, unique ignite red highlights, and BlackShark badging on the fenders.
Inside the cabin, the 2023 Jeep Compass 4X2 boasts a 10.1-inch next-generation Uconnect 5 digital infotainment system with faster operating speeds, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a 10.25-inch frameless fully-colored digital TFT gauge cluster, a panoramic sunroof, and a wireless charging pad. The mid-spec variants now come with a panoramic sunroof and connectivity, along with an automatic transmission.
Under the hood, the Jeep Compass 4X2 is equipped with a 2.0-liter direct injection turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine, generating 170 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. It is available with both a six-speed manual transmission and a nine-speed automatic transmission, which offers seamless gear shifts and best-in-class fuel economy, according to Jeep India. The Engine Stop-Start (ESS) technology comes standard on all trims, contributing to better fuel efficiency. The Jeep Compass 4X2 can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 9.8 seconds.
When it comes to safety, the 2023 Jeep Compass 4X2 is equipped with features such as Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Advanced Brake Assist, Hill Start Assist, all-speed traction control, rear seat reminder alert, and Rain Brake Assist.
The all-new Jeep Compass lineup consists of five models: Sport, Longitude/Longitude Plus, Limited, BlackShark, and Model S. The 2023 Jeep Compass 4X2 is offered in seven color options, providing customers with a wide range of choices.
Jeep India is offering a 3-year Comprehensive Warranty and Express Service packages along with Jeep Courtesy Edge and Segment First Customer Contact Programs for the Jeep Compass 4X2. Customers in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, and Ahmedabad can also take advantage of the benefits of the Jeep Adventure Assured program, which includes assured buyback, maintenance, and repairs at lower EMIs.
