Chrysler is marking a significant milestone as it enters production of the 2024 Chrysler Pacifica, which coincides with the 40th anniversary of the minivan. The minivan segment was pioneered by the original Chrysler Corporation, with the first generation of minivans hitting the market on November 2, 1983. Since then, over 15 million Chrysler and Stellantis minivans have been sold.
In celebration of this anniversary, the 2024 Pacifica lineup receives several updates. The premium Pacifica Pinnacle model now offers a new Sepia interior color, while two fresh exterior colors, Red Hot and Baltic Gray, have been introduced. The Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid lineup also sees additions with the Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid Select and Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid Pinnacle models.
Among the new features, the 2024 Pacifica models come equipped with an Emergency Vehicle Alert System (EVAS) as part of the Uconnect 5 platform. This system provides drivers with critical notifications of nearby emergency vehicles and other roadway hazards through the vehicle’s cluster and touchscreen.
Chrysler has consistently innovated within the minivan segment and has played a pivotal role in creating lasting family memories. The brand looks forward to an all-electric vehicle portfolio by 2028, further contributing to an electrified future. Throughout the years, Chrysler has introduced groundbreaking features such as the Stow ‘n Go seating and storage system, Uconnect Theater, dual hands-free sliding doors, and the hybrid-electric powertrain.
Recently, Chrysler also celebrated the production of the 100,000th Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid, further solidifying its commitment to electric mobility. The 2024 Chrysler Pacifica and Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid are set to arrive in dealerships in October, continuing the legacy and evolution of the minivan over the past 40 years.
