Australia was one of the first countries to receive the electric SUV, with its official unveiling taking place in the first quarter of the same year. Deliveries began in August, and mass deliveries were initiated before the end of 2022. In Australia, the local distributor of BYD, EV Direct, collaborated with Eagers Automotive to establish a network of experience centers across the country, which has been successful thus far.
BYD’s expansion in Australia includes the launch of its new “Megastore” concept, which aims to educate consumers about EVs. The first Megastore opened in Alexandria, Sydney, showcasing a range of BYD products and highlighting the brand’s innovations in vehicle technology.
