Rafid Automotive Solutions, a prominent automotive service provider, has recently launched nine hybrid vehicles, including popular models such as the C-HR and Corolla Cross, and six BMW F900XR motorcycles. This move is aimed at enhancing traffic safety and response times for minor incidents across all roads in the emirate of Sharjah.
At the launch event, Brigadier General Dr. Ahmed Saeed Al Naour, Director-General of Central Operations, and Ahmed Al Mashrakh, Chief Officer of Rafid and Deputy Head of the Team, were present. The introduction of these hybrid vehicles and motorcycles aligns with Rafid’s vision to support strategic goals and promote sustainability in the United Arab Emirates, particularly in Sharjah.
Abdulrahman bin Kanoon Al Shamsi, Director of the Accident and RSA Department at Rafid Automotive Solutions, highlighted the significance of utilizing innovative solutions and modern technologies to achieve climate neutrality and reduce carbon emissions. Hybrid vehicles and bicycles, he explained, are environmentally friendly alternatives that contribute to lowering carbon emissions and minimizing fuel consumption.
Moreover, the use of motorcycles will significantly improve accessibility for Rafid’s customers. Expanding the bicycle fleet to include 12 motorcycles will notably decrease the average response time to minor traffic accidents. Currently, the response time stands at 10 minutes, but this initiative aims to further reduce this period by utilizing bicycles known for their agility and efficient mobility.
In summary, Rafid Automotive Solutions’ launch of hybrid vehicles and motorcycles in Sharjah is a strategic step towards enhancing traffic safety and reducing carbon emissions. By incorporating eco-friendly transportation options, Rafid aims to improve response times and contribute to the overall sustainability efforts in the emirate.
