Siemens and Monta have joined forces to promote the growth of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure throughout Europe. Through this partnership, Siemens will utilize Monta’s Charge Point Management System (CPMS) to manage its own fleet and charging points, as well as provide a comprehensive solution for EV charging at home, in public, and at work.
By leveraging Monta’s CPMS as an operating system, Siemens will play a crucial role in making e-mobility a part of everyday life. The aim is to establish a pan-European infrastructure that caters to corporate fleet and facility managers, enabling charging services for company car drivers, pool car drivers, and employees. This collaboration will position Siemens as a one-stop-shop provider of e-mobility services to corporate fleet operators.
Monta’s CPMS offers various functionalities such as charge point operation, load balancing, charger availability, charger accessibility, and pricing. It includes fleet management, smart access rights, automatic home reimbursement, and multiple payment options for drivers. Siemens will offer this solution as a managed service, taking care of system setup and monitoring on behalf of customers. Additionally, a mobile app with enhanced features will provide a seamless charging experience.
Markus Mildner, CEO of eMobility at Siemens Smart Infrastructure, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “We’re thrilled to collaborate with Monta and integrate their innovative software into our offerings. This will support our goal of expanding EV charging infrastructure.”
Monta’s CEO, Casper Rasmussen, also expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, emphasizing the opportunity to work with Siemens, a renowned industry leader. Rasmussen believes that together they can accelerate the development of a pan-European charging network, ensuring a smooth EV charging experience for drivers and charging point owners.
This partnership between Siemens and Monta reflects the commitment to advancing sustainable transportation by expanding EV charging infrastructure across Europe.
