Volvo Car Canada Ltd. has released the full pricing details for its first small premium fully electric SUV, the Volvo EX30. Priced at $53,700, the EX30 offers customers a premium fully electric SUV at a similar price point to its internal combustion engine-powered counterparts. This announcement expands Volvo’s lineup of fully electric vehicles to four models.
The Volvo EX30 showcases Volvo’s Scandinavian design principles in a smaller package. Customers have the option to choose from five exterior colors and four unique interior design expressions. The interior of the EX30 features a minimalist design with natural and recycled leather-free materials, creating a luxurious and sustainable environment for both drivers and passengers.
In terms of safety, the Volvo EX30 incorporates Volvo’s extensive knowledge from real-world accidents and injuries to provide the highest level of protection for occupants and the surrounding environment. The car is designed to have the lowest CO2 footprint of any Volvo car to date, aligning with Volvo’s goal to become a fully electric car company by 2030 and carbon-neutral by 2040.
The Volvo EX30 comes standard with Google built-in, including Google Maps and Google Assistant. It also features wireless Apple CarPlay and various advanced safety features, such as a Driver Alert System with Blind Spot Information System, Front and Rear Collision Mitigation, and Door Opening Alert. Optional packages offer additional features like a panoramic roof, Harman Kardon Premium Sound, and advanced driver-assistance systems.
The EX30 offers two electric propulsion options and an estimated fully electric range of up to 442 kilometers. The SUV is designed to handle various types of journeys, from daily commutes to weekend adventures.
